Colton came to Safer Schools Together in 2016 after receiving his Diploma in Law Enforcement
Studies at the Justice Institute of BC. As a member of the Safer Schools Together team, Colton
specializes in Social Media Awareness and publicly available information gathering. As the Project
and Training Manager, he collects social media data that is used to assist schools nationwide in
conducting accurate threat assessments. He has been involved in several highprofile cases relating
to school safety in Canada and the US. As a trainer, he presents to police officers, school staff,
parents, and students on social media awareness, cyberbullying, and online safety.
